Children's Ministry Teacher/Preteen Leader
When David was seven years old his dad first told him about the Lord and how JESUS went to the cross to pay for our sins. That same year his dad led him to accepting and having a relationship with Christ.
Right now David is so very blessed to work with the pre-teen group. This is an amazing age because you can see the kids forming their own relationship with the Lord. As the kids start reading and praying on their own, outside of class, you see a depth and growth as they start figuring out truly who Jesus is in their lives. For David, it’s a wonderful feeling to come along side these young people as they begin to implement their past Bible knowledge into their daily walk with the Lord.
David started serving in Children’s Ministry in 2008 along side his wife, and has been completely blessed by the journey. They began serving with the 3-4 year olds during Pastor Chuck’s Sunday night Bible study. How much fun it was for them to sing worship and teach Bible stories to the kids. Several years later, David moved over to Wednesday night J-Walk study and taught with Mr. Ed and Mr. Kevin. In these classes they got into in-depth teachings about the Trinity, Characteristics of God, and apologetics. A couple of years into it, Mr. Ed went home to be with the Lord, and that was a very impactful and meaningful time for David and the kids.
David has been married to his amazing, godly wife, Erin, since 1996! They have three fantastic children, who have been blessed to go all the way through Calvary Schools. Their son Braeden, is an EMT and going through fire science school. He played football at Calvary and graduated in 2016. Our daughter Shaelyn, is in college for fashion merchandising. She swam at Calvary and graduated in 2018. Our youngest, Paetyn is a Junior at Calvary. She’s in ASB and a Varsity soccer player.
