Jan

Children's Ministry Teacher

WebJan
As a child, Jan had heard a couple of Bible stories, but had been taught by her parents that stories are not true. As an adult, she heard it taught as truth. Her perspective/understanding changed, and she surrendered to Jesus, asking Him to live within her.

Jan's heart's desire and passion is to teach children that the Bible is absolute truth. She wants to share that the people we learn about were just as alive as we are, and that Jesus is alive and with us always. Jan's goal when entering a class is that Jesus is bigger to the children when they leave than He was when they stepped in.

Jan served in Montana for one year in a shelter for homeless and abused women and children. She has served as a follow-up counsel at 18 Harvest Crusades, at the Billy Graham Crusade that was held at the Rose Bowl, and five years in follow-up counsel while Greg Laurie was serving at CCCM on Monday nights.

Jan has one daughter and a Basset Hound. Her birth father was a police officer, her step dad retired from Edison Company after working for them his entire adult life - both were veterans. Jan's mother was a porcelain artist and taught royalty in Japan.

After early retirement, Jan served at the School of Ministry until the Lord opened the door to Children's Ministry.
